Prince is an official academy showhorse!!!

Prince was taken yesterday to the Horse Park not to be in a show, but to see how he'd react to being transported, strange arena, etc. He did so well that Lynn, the riding instructor, decided to have Ashlynn ride him. He won first place in the Pleasure Horse division and first place in the Equitation division (that is Ashlynn's skills). When Lynn called me you could have knocked me over with a feather! I am so proud of him, what a champ. He'll be in the Masterston Station horse show in the middle of July, and I plan to be there, camera clicking away.
Not to shabby for a rescue horse with no papers - I can't wait until Vi is in her first show!
Note: I always knew I posted too high, but good grief! Need to work on that...

Mom, leave me alone!!

Remember when your kids were babies or toddlers and all you ever heard was crying for mommy, or "Mommy Mommy Mommy I neeeeeeed you!!" Well, I never thought I would miss that, but I do. Ten-year-old boys just don't need their mommies so much (unless you happen to be on the phone, in the middle of a conversation).

Erica would kill if...

she saw this today. Sam, Vi, and best friend Haley just chilling watching a movie, no big deal except...there seems to be a ferret chilling with them...on Erica's bed!!

Vi is a ham

Vi can be a little ham in front of the camera. She just got temporary braces! In PINK! Got to get a pic of that if she'll let me...

Erica graduates 2008

Erica graduated High School, and will be attending school for welding in the fall. Check out the Clint Eastwood squint on that boy!

Sam can Jam

This is from last year, Sam's first guitar recital. He knows mostly 70's Rock, some 90's, and some current. I will get a video of him playing hopefully this week. He learns the songs by ear, and never uses his sheet music (wow).

Vi can ride! That girl can post.

This is Vi on Sweetie Pie. She actually walked my horse for the first time that day also, but I ran out of video. This film was taken on Father's Day. I did not realize our digital camera recorded sound as well so the annoying clicking sounds are made by me to keep lazy Sweetie trotting.
Vi also rode in a charity ride for St. Jude's Hospital. To my surprise, so did Prince. One of the instructors put baubles of all colors in his mane. I took a pic and will post it later. A man at the barn was horrified that these baubles would be in a BOY horse's mane. It was pretty funny.
